Falconry

I have decided to photograph captive birds for my first project.

I am going to photograph falconers hunting with their birds.

I have gathered a list of falconry organisations around Scotland and will be ringing them today to see if I will be able to photograph their birds.

Join us on the half day natural hunt through our estate to enjoy our birds doing what nature has honed them to do for millennia. With the help of one of our well trained pointing dogs, our working “pack” of Harris hawks will be looking to catch supper in the form of rabbits, pheasant, hare and duck( in season).

In a scene unchanged for centuries you will become the handler of a hunting hawk, standing in marvel as it rockets from your fist in natural pursuit! This is real falconry…
